Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher will cover everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin is the mother of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and covered the Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Over the course of that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. In addition, she was a frequent traveler with President Trump as well as Vice President Trump frequently. This included a secret trip with him to Afghanistan. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin's camera skills has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers including Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
